Planning for Procurement is part of MBIE’s Te Whānau Manaaki suite of learning for staff who procure or manage social services.

Te Whānau Manaaki explores cultural competency and procurement practices that support more effective social services partnering. The planning stage of the procurement cycle focuses on two areas:

  • Whakaritenga [to arrange or negotiate in Te Reo Māori] explores how practitioners can hone planning practices to promote better outcomes for the communities they serve.
  • Whakawhitinga [to cross over or bridge in Te Reo Māori] examines writing and communication practices during the planning stage of procurement.

Each consists of an online interactive module and a virtually facilitated wānanga [workshop].

Who is it for:  All procurement practitioners  - all stages of experience.

   Duration:  Self - paced
